Trailed Tines

Intelligent Distribution System

The newly-developed IDS system controls all outlets via the BUS system. This opens up completely new capabilities in seed row and tramline switching. In conjunction with POWER CONTROL or ISOBUS on the tractor and the electric metering drive, there are now no limits to flexible working in the field. The solution for seeding professionals.

Exact seed separation

Several single-seed metering elements are located beneath the add-on funnel. This hydraulically-driven system ensures exact seed separation. After they have been separated mechanically, the seeds are transported to the specially-developed injector. The air stream conveys the seed to the coulter.

Pneumatic seed transport

An air flap divides the air stream between the standard metering system and the PCS. Under pressure, the air system injector takes the individual seeds from the seed elevator and transports them at precise intervals to the coulter.
A seed flow sensor monitors reliable seed transport and indicates to the driver the accuracy of seed distribution in the furrow.

Perfectly placed

The DUAL-DISC coulter with its integrated seed furrow former ensures a perfect seed furrow. A stopper roller presses the seed into the furrow. A pressure roller controls re-packing and working depth. The seed placement depth can be adjusted centrally.

High-volume seed tank

The AEROSEM seed tank features a large opening for filling. This enables rapid and trouble-free filling using Big-Bags or a front loader bucket. A wide sack support with handrail on top of the tank makes it easier to fill by hand. The rugged roller-tarpaulin serves as a dust-proof and rainproof cover that is convenient to open and close.

Safe and convenient access

TERRASEM R Mulch seed drills

Double disc coulters

  • Each coulter is mounted on an independent parallelogram to ensure excellent ground tracking.
  • All the disc coulters are guided by coulter press wheels to ensure uniform seed depth.
  • Seed depth is adjusted centrally and coulter pressure is adjusted hydraulically between 88 and 265 lbs / 40 and 120 kg.
  • Maintenance-free mounting of the coulters via rubber dampers also provides optimum freedom of movement.
  • Thanks to the off set confi guration, a row spacing of 4 .92” / 125 mm is possible for an optimum plant distribution pattern.

Double disc coulters are guided by wide press wheels.

  • Accurate, uniform seed placement and depth.
  • Central depth adjustment by rotating the coulter rail – via the integral ratchet adjuster.

Metering System

TERRASEM C3 to C9 as standard specification are equipped for tractors with ISOBUS. The seed wheel is electronically driven, distance measurement is by radar sensor or tractor signal.

Two levels of operator terminal can be provided if the tractor is not equipped with ISOBUS.

  • The R3 to C6 models have one metering system and the C8 and C9 have two. •The metering wheels for normal or fi ne seed can be changed quickly and easily to match seed flow rate.
  • A reduction gear ensures that the metering wheel is always operating in the ideal speed range.
  • The seed wheel is electronically driven and controlled from the tractor via a radar sensor or an ISOBUS signal.
  • Infinitely variable adjustment of seed quantity from 0.52 to 312 lbs per acre or from 0.6 kg to 350 kg per hectare from the tractor.
  • Automatic engagement of seed metering wheel with priming to ensure immediate metering.
  • Easy calibration with a practical collection bag and the calibration fl ap is monitored by sensors.
  • An outlet slide allows all the seed to be discharged from the hopper when emptying.

Fan And Distributor Heads

  • A high volume of air and low air velocity protect the seed against damage and prevent rubbing off of the dressing. Together with the precision metering system and large distributor heads, this system delivers uniform seed grain placement, guaranteeing you a reliable harvest and financial success. •The oversized fan is driven hydraulically and delivers a high volume of air in the mid-speed range, so there is little noise during operation.
  • The high air volume means the fan speed can fl uctuate without aff ecting the accuracy of seed metering.
  • The R3 / R4 / C4 / C6 models have one distributor head with a maximum of 48 outlets, the C8 / C9 have two with 32 / 35 outlets each. The seed is fed to the distributor head evenly via the riser tube for optimum distribution to the individual rows. The large diameter distributor head guarantees ideal distribution to the individual rows.
  • A servo motor shuts off the tramlines electronically. Valves on the distributor shut off up to 3 seed rows for each tramline. The excess seed is returned to the riser tube and the seed fl ow rate is reduced accordingly, achieving seed savings of up to 6%.
  • If desired, seed fl ow monitoring is available with an optical sensor for each individual row. The system is triggered if the fl ow rate (grains/second) falls below theset rate. The operator terminal indicates which row is blocked.
  • On the TERRASEM C8 and C9, both distributor heads are automatically hydraulically retracted during the folding sequence.

  • Manual pre-selection via 3-way valves: Folding, manual control of track marker, coulter pressure
